On the afternoon of November 3rd, the opening ceremony of "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection" was grandly held at the National Art Museum of China. Experts, scholars, friends from media circles, colleagues from art circles and social audiences at home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.

Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection", and highly appreciated the ideal pursuit, artistic skill and humanistic feelings of Han Yuchen's 83 oil painting works in this exhibition.

When Jin Shangyi, honorary president of China Artists Association, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection", narrated the profound relationship between Han Yuchen and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and highly praised Han Yuchen's ideal pursuit of finally entering the National Museum of China and the National Art Museum of China through 50 years of dedicated practice.

Shang Hui, director of the Theory Committee of China Artists Association and curator of this exhibition, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection", and systematically reviewed the language style, expression techniques, emotional expression and the concept of returning to the essence of painting art of Han Yuchen's oil painting collection.

Han Yuchen, a specially-appointed researcher at the Chinese National Academy of Art and a professor at the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Russia, gave a thank-you speech at the opening ceremony of "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection", telling about his 50-year long journey of pursuing art and vowing to fulfill the artist's dream.

(Wang Baosheng, editor-in-chief of Chinese Cultural People) After Han lived at the grassroots level for half a century and built the image for the general public, his exhibition "Pursuing Dreams with a Pure Heart-Han Yu Chen Oil on Canvas Collection" was held at the National Art Museum of China from October 29th to November 9th. The exhibition was sponsored by National Art Museum of China and Hebei Province Federation of Literary and Art Circles, supported by Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, and organized by Hebei Artists Association, Chinese Cultural People Magazine and Han Yuchen Art Gallery of Handan Group.


At the opening ceremony of the exhibition held on November 3rd, famous artists from Chinese cultural and art circles gathered to participate in the grand event. Guests attending the opening ceremony included Jin Shangyi, honorary president of China Artists Association, Wu Weishan, CPPCC member, vice president of China Artists Association and director of the National Art Museum of China, Xu Li, vice president of China Artists Association, Zhang Xiaoling, former vice president of China National Academy of Painting and president of College of Fine Arts of East China Normal University, Wang Ping, member of the sub-party group and deputy secretary-general of China Artists Association, Shao Dazhen, professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Shang Hui, director of the Theory Committee of the China Artists Association and famous artists such as Zhang Zuying, Ma Zhensheng, Wang Yong, Chen Zui, Wang Zhong, Gao Tianxiong, Zhang Yuan and Zhang Yichun.

 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Pan Yikui, deputy director of National Art Museum of China. Wu Weishan, Jin Shangyi, Xu Li and Shang Hui delivered speeches one after another, and Han Yuchen gave a thank-you speech.


Wu Weishan introduced the consensus of holding the exhibition reached by both sides when Han Yuchen's oil paintings were donated to the National Art Museum of China four years ago. At the same time, Han Yuchen's 83 oil paintings in this exhibition were highly appreciated for their ideal pursuit, artistic skill and humanistic feelings. Wu Weishan said the biggest feeling of associating with Han Yuchen was that he is sincere and enthusiastic, and full of passion for life. Therefore, in his works, those characters are vivid and full of warmth and love. He used the method of painting from life to communicate with them, that is, to praise them with the beauty of art and his simple heart. So, these works are also full of warmth and love.


As the former president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Jin Shangyi told the profound relationship between Han Yuchen and the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1972, Han Yuchen started his path to self-taught education under the guidance of Li Hua and Su Gaoli from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He spoke highly of Han Yuchen's ideal pursuit of finally entering the National Museum of China and the National Art Museum of China, the two greatest palaces of art in China, through 50 years of dedicated practice.


Xu Li reviewed the grand occasion when Han Yuchen held an oil painting exhibition at the National Museum of China five years ago, and pointed out that as Han Yuchen held an oil painting exhibition at the National Art Museum of China, it could make more friends in the art circles and the general public fully understand the artist’s fighting spirit of not forgetting his original aspiration for decades.


Shang Hui, curator of this exhibition, systematically reviewed the language style, expression technique and emotional expression of Han Yuchen's oil painting works in his speech, and believed that the significance of Han Yuchen's oil painting exhibition lies in sticking to the idea of returning to the essence of painting art.


Han Yuchen, a specially-appointed researcher at  Chinese National Academy of Art and a professor at the Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Russia, gave a thank-you speech. He emotionally told about his long story of 50-year pursuit of art, and fulfilling the dream of an artist; He mentioned the hardships that he had been through while painting from life in Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, Guizhou and other places. He also told about the journey of heart that he explored the law of color in painting with the deep affection of laborers for labor and the persistence of artists for art, and made bold attempts and painstaking explorations for the expression forms of works.

 

At the opening ceremony, Wu Weishan presented Han Yuchen with the collection certificates of two oil paintings, namely "Gannan Lengben Daoji" and "Light and Shadow".


Han Yuchen's exhibition is divided into three series: "Germination of Dreams and Hard Self-taught Education", "Deep Taihang Mountain Complex" and "Description of Multi-ethnic Style", with 83 works which comprehensively show Han Yuchen's 50-year painstaking and persistent journey of painting from life.


Before the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Fan Di’an, president of China Artists Association and president of Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Ma Fenghui, secretary of the party committee, vice president and secretary general of China Artists Association, visited the exhibition. They highly praised Han Yuchen's tenacious character of keeping his mission in mind and pursuing his dreams, and wished Han Yuchen to take this exhibition as a starting point and make greater contributions to the prosperity and development of Chinese art in the new era.
